Sit in Judgement of Yourself

The Lord sustains us. We lack for nothing. Not clothes to wear, shoes on our feet, a roof over our heads, cars to drive, jobs to go to. God has allowed us much. We possess the land as He has promised. He has multplied our nation from generation to generation. He has subdued our enemies and prepared us a table before them. We have accepted these gifts and delighted ourselfve in God's great goodness.
Yet, we have been disobedient and rebellious, some things we have done we think behind His back. When accused and warned to repent and seek forgiveness we committed a greater sin. Lying. We therefore left God no choice but to deliver us into the hands of our enemy. Who will delight in distressing us. In this time of suffering we call out to the Lord, for we know He will hear us. In accordance with His promise, He grants us mercy, delivers us, saves us from our enemy. Only after we have delighted ourselves in His grace, we do the same thing again. This has been going on not only in our lifetime, but also in our mother's and father's and their mother's and father's.
We do not listen to the Lord's counsel. We do not heed the commandments. We sin against His ordinances by which we should live.
Yet, still our God has not forsaken us.
He is still a God of great mercies, gracious, keeper of His covenant, loving, kind, just, faithful.

My Prayer: That you recognize I speak not of just you, but more so of myself. That like me you be willing to admit, repent and receive God's forgiveness.
