Something to do on a Wednesday

Psalm 150:6

Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.

Never Stop Praising God

The truth of the Lord endureth forever. How many believe this to be true, raise your hands and shout.

Are the Just Words of Actions?

Praise the Lord.

Another phrase we hear a lot.

How many times have you heard a speaker come to the pulpit and say “Praise the Lord, saints” and after you response they say “Say it like you mean it”

Sunday, November 29, 2009

Do You Act or React?

Sing praises unto the Lord.

Ever notice that the person that says “I sing praises unto the Lord” and starts singing can’t carry a tune?

Ever notice how the congregation reacts?

What is your reaction are you offering encouragement, clapping, singing along or is your head bowed down so no one will see you laughing?

Saturday, November 28, 2009

Are they Just Words or Actions?

Praise ye the Lord.

How many times are we asked to do this?

I don’t mean in church but in the bible.

Black Friday

This is “black Friday” a day where we are to get up before the crack of dawn to wait in long lines at the door of stores that will be opening at 5 or 6 a.m. for us to shop for ‘incredible’ prices. I am usually at work, but today I have been granted the day off. I have to tell you it felt good to roll over and go back to sleep with a “Thank you Lord” on my lips, in my mind, and on my heart. No I didn’t get up to stand out in the cold with thousands of others with either the day or morning off from work. It intend to stay indoors there is no need for me to venture out the Lord blessed me with a day of rest and that is just what I plan to do.

Thanksgiving

Today is the day when millions of people will remember to “Thank God” for all that they have, they will stop for a time (right before they eat) to count their blessings. How many of us I wonder will remember to “Thank God” tomorrow, or the next day or the next. In fact how many of us having been thanking Him all year thus far for the things He has done and for blessings our lives. I confess that I too have slacked on occasion; got up and went about my day without taking just those few seconds it takes to say “Thank you Lord”.

In Everything Give Thanks

for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

... to make petition, to give thanks, and to Praise the Lord ...

Give thanks to the Lord, call on His name; make known among the nations what He has done.

Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.

... O God our Savior; gather us and deliver us ... that we may give thanks to you holy name ...

... those chosen and designated by name to give thanks to the Lord, ...

Pray without ceasing

"Save me I pray Oh Lord"
"Pray to the Lord for ..."
"The time for me to pray for you has come"
"I will pray to the Lord"
"Forgive me my sin I do pray"

As the question in Deuteronomy 4:7 asks when we pray
What other nation is so great as to have there gods near them the way the Lord our God is near us whenever we pray to Him?

Rejoice Evermore

Deuteronomy 12:12
There in the presence of the Lord your God, you and your families shall eat and shall rejoice in everything you have put your hand to , because the Lord God has blessed you.

Whereever you are on whatever day it may be, when you are gathered together, all be glad and take delight in His presence. Exult His name, fill with joy and thanksgiving that place for everything He has done in your lives to bring you to this point in time.

My two cents: To be glad, feel joyful, take delight, be delighted; henceforth at all future times, everlastingly, always, continually, forever, eternally because of Him.

I Thessalonians 5

10 Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.

Which person ceased to live in order to obtain us, to a great extent or degree, regardless if we become aware or careless and unalert, we ought to pass life in a specified manner in a condition of unity in the keeping or service of Him.

My two cents: Is this a question that ends in a statement?

Thursday, November 19, 2009

I Thessalonians 5

9 For God has not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Because God has not equipped us to vengeance or punishment as the consequence of anger, but to come into possession of deliverance from the power and penalty of sin by Our Lord Jesus Christ.

In other words, just because you're saved doesn't mean you can't or won't get mad. But because you are saved don't speak or act in a moment of anger, remember to call on Him who is able.

My two cents worth: For me just saying His name is enough to make me pause, it also keeps other thoughtless hurtful words from leaving my mouth.

Remember: The power of the tongue.

I Thessalonians 5

8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmut, the hope of salvation.

Only because we, that are a part of those assigned to a particular purpose, continue to be temperate, placing as to be a protection the armor of faith and love; and for a covering of our minds, the hope of salvation.

Tuesday, November 17, 2009

I Thessalonians 5

6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

As a result we will not allow or permit ourselves in no way to be inactive, to the extent for instance that we take advantage of God's Grace as others not long past have done; on the contrary, we will come before His presence in order to see or learn something, we will wait attentively and expectantly, at the same time continue to be free from excess, showing self control.

I Thessalonians 5

5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day; we are not of the night, nor of the darkness

We are His son's and daughter's radiant, having understanding and knowledge that we are in a period of power; in no way to no degree are we in a time of ignorance or sinfulness, nor do we lack enlightenment of wickedness or evil.

Take the Garbage Out

1. Recognize what's garbage; something who's use has ended, inaccurate or useless data, worthless relationships

2. Relocate the garbage; you can't keep it where it is because its blocking the way, and
God can't come in

3. Reposition yourself away from the garbage; remove yourself from smelling distance

4. Don't reflect on the garbage; don't keep thinking about it and worrying over it

5. Refuse future garbage pickups; after you've been delivered don't look back in bitterness look forward to becoming better

Remember: Take the garbage out of your mouth, mind, motives and ministry.

Live!

For therein is the righteousness of God

Priorities

I Timothy 6:7
For we brought nothing into this world,
and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

We spend a large portion of our time on this earth,
accumulating stuff.
Why?
To what end?
When we seek after {to gain} material things.
We become obsessed;
with having it,
wanting it,
until we believe that we need it,
can't live without it.
We forget about {turn our backs on} God.
That is until we find ourselves in a pit
of our own making
that we can not climb out of
Then we remember;
who He is,
what He can do,
and we call on Him.
We want to hold Him to His promise,
Never to leave us or forsake us.
Funny how we don't remember our promise to Him,
That we will place Him first above all others {things}.

Wait

But he knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold.

Job 23:10

Job is said to be a man great faith, who feared the Lord.

But Job,

yes even Job,

had questions.

Because he did not understand why?

He sought answers.

But he knew not to go looking for them.

He waited on the Lord.

The measure of your Faith

These have come so that your faith (of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire) may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory, and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. I Peter 1:7

How do you measure faith?

What is the yard stick?

When do reach that point, when you know it is strong?

Where can you find confirmation?

Why do you know?

A Promise

No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it. I Corinthians 10:13
Scripture taken from New International Version.

How comforting is that, to know that God will be there when you are tempted. If you listen you will even hear His voice when He offers you that way out. I can testify to that, let me tell you about it. I went to a fundraiser, afterwards the group that I was with wanted to go out drinking. My thought, "I haven't been out in a long time. This could be lots of fun. We've been having a good time so far. I can go, I can do this, I won't drink." God's voice, 'Go home. Where they are going is right on your way. Do you not have things to do? Do you not have some place you need to go in the morning? Go home.' I had my ride drop me off at home, no matter how many times I was asked, no matter the peer pressure that was applied, no matter what I stood firm.

over and over in your mind until

your lips unclamp and the words that tremble

on the tip of your tongue for release

Knowledge

I've always been told

that the Lord will send people to you

So whenever someone asks me to help

them do something

I always say "Yes"

thinking they would no have come to me

if the Lord had not sent them my way

But wait

if helping them

means that I can not do what

the Lord has charged me to do

can I still believe that the Lord

sent them my way?

Just Talking

If you want to testify

but can't think of anything to say,

but you want to say something

just say

"Thank you Lord"

If you want to sing to the Lord

but don't know all the words

sing the words you do know

it's still Praise

If you're in a situation and don't know

what to do

how to handle it

what to say

just call on Him that is able

"Lord"

A Prayer for Forgiveness

Psalm 51 (New Century Version)

1 God, be merciful to me because you are loving. Because you are always ready to be merciful, wipe out all of my wrongs.
2 Wash away all my guilt and make me clean again.
3 I know about my wrongs, and I can't forget my sin.
4 You are the only one I have sinned against; I have done what you say is wrong. You are right when you speak and fair when you judge.

6 You want me to be completely truthful, so teach me wisdom.
7 Take away my sin, and I will be clean. Wash me and I will be whiter than snow.

9 Turn your face from my sins and wipe out all my guilt.
10 Create in me a pure heart, God, and make my spirit right again.
11 Do not send me away from you or take your Holy Spirit away from me.
12 Give me back the joy of your salvation. Keep me strong by giving me a willing spirit.

15 Lord let me speak so I may praise you.
17 The sacrifice God wants is a broken spirit. God you will not reject a heart that is broken and sorry for sin.

In your Son Jesus name. Amen.

Seeking Grace and Mercy

Lord, I stand before your throne of Grace seeking forgiveness.
Humbly I ask your pardon for my inquities.
Again.
The thought was there, I knew it needed to be done.
But I allowed thoughts of others
and the deeds that I had committed myself to do for them
crowd out that which I had committed myself to do for you.
Lord, how many times can I seek your mercy and your grace?
This time my sin of,
what do I call it?
Forgetfulness?
Because it wasn't quite that.
But it has doubled.
The other times I missed one day, this time it is two days.
I come today Lord, not only seeking forgiveness,
but to set before you my petitions,
I am asking Lord,
for your help in focusing my mind on those things that you would have me do,
help me to discern request brought to me,
from what I think to what you know.
I ask this as all things in your Son Jesus name.
Amen.

Thank you, Lord.

Offering up Praise

Isaiah 12
1And in that day thou shalt say, O LORD, I will praise thee: though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me.

Even though I haved sinned against you, You Lord have not forsaken me.

2Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.

I need fear nothing or no one for the Lord my God is ever with me.

3Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.

The dawn of each day and the ending of the same I shall rejoice.

4And in that day shall ye say, Praise the LORD, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted.

Every day I will call upon the Lord with thanksgiving, for His mercy and His grace.

5Sing unto the LORD; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth.

I will raise my voice in songs of praise, even if I don't know all the words I will still offer them up to the Lord.

6Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee.

I will not let the presence of others or the lack thereof, stop me from giving Praise.

Reliance

Isaiah 59
1Behold, the LORD's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:

Observe see and recognize that the Lord's hand is not taken in from you, or restricted from you or limited to you, that it cannot rescue you and safeguard you against evil; also nor is His ear laden, that it cannot attend to and listen to you with favor:

1 Timothy 1:6 (King James Version)
6From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;

To talk excessively, in pride and arrogance with a harsh discordant voice causing upset and irritation, because of the lack of substance or worth in which you speak having turned in direction from the straight or direct course, that the Lord would have you go.

Sometimes one believes they know what a scripture means, having read, studied and meditated on the Word. They will become angry if you dispute what they say. This is not God's way.

Yield Not to Temptation

Romans 6

If you will allow sin, it will as a result have domination over your person, expecting you to follow its instructions. You can not follow or obey the sin of temptation and expect the Grace of God to cover your actions.

12Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

14For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

17But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.

Minister and Laymans Conference - 'The Living Stone'

I Peter 2:4-9
There were 6 speakers 1 for each verse. Five came and spoke the Word.

In order to build your house, there are some things that need to be done first
(found in I Peter 1:13-25) because before you build you need to clear the ground.

The Lord is our rock, Jesus is our living stone.
If you want God to save you, repent; we need to come clean, purge and prove ourselves, learn to sacrifice.
Tell God you're sorry for your sin, ask His pardon, ask the Lord to wash you.
If we obey His voice, keep the covenant, willingly come.
Pray. Fast. Stand.
Jesus serves as the foundation we build on.
We are the elect, the chosen.
Be that, "Believer that has faith."
In regards to the Word; Read. Listen. Meditate. Study.
Stone of Stumbling is rejection.

We didn't get to hear about the Royal Priesthood.
But what we did hear!
Thank you Lord for an awesome day of
Praise, Worship, Shared Wisdom and Increased Knowledge.

Money

For this is what the LORD says: "You were sold for nothing, and without money you will be redeemed." Isaiah 52:3

The cost of Believing is free
That covenant that you made with the Lord,
is not a written contract with fine print and hidden fees
There is no price tag on the Lord's forgiveness, it is yours for the asking
The Faith you have in the Lord is priceless
There is no debt involved in Trust
Whatever we need from Him to survive is stamped "No Charge"

For me this was an unexpected windfall

Find yourself in Sripture

I Timothy 4

1Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
2Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
3Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

I found myself within these words.
I am in my latter times, though I have not lost faith
I have on occassion heeded seducing spirits
and have had my conscience seared because of this
As of verse 3 not the abstaining from meat but the forbidding to marry
thats me too.

4For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
5For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.
6If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast

attained.

The Lord brought this to my attention this morning,
when I asked about what word or scripture would He have me use.
I Timothy chapter 4 is what He 'dropped into my spirit' I believe is the termed I've heard used
As I was reading it, the question came 'did you find yourself in this scripture?'
"Yes, Lord I found a description of myself in this chapter"
I thank you Lord for the education, your continued guidance and most especially the knowledge

Stop Worrying

Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Matthew 6:25

In other words STOP!
You have no need to worry about the what, the when, the how or the why
And come to think of it where
Have faith, trust, believe
God's got you

The Breath of Life

Genesis 2:7 ... and breathed into his nostrils the Breath of Life and man became a living soul.

Every read this passage and thought, "Wish it could have been me."
It can be.
Confess with your mouth that you believe that God raised His Son Jesus from the dead and you shall be saved.
Repent of your transgressions, trespasses, and sins.
Believe you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.

In Answer To

The spirit of Fear
it comes upon us when our mind or heart is troubled
when our flesh is conflict with our spirit
sometimes it arrives unexpectly
When it does look to the Word you will find the answer to defeat it

The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.

For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.

Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.

Catch your Soul on Fire

But if from there you seek the LORD your God,
you will find him if you look for him
with all your heart and with all your soul.
Deuteronomy 4:29

My heart grew hot within me,
and as I meditated,
the fire burned;
then I spoke with my tongue:

Bible Study

In Acts chapter 8; mention is made of a man called Simon, who used sorcery to bewitch the people of Samaria into believing him to be a great power of God.
After hearing Philip preach on the Kingdom of God and seeing the miracles performed in the name of Jesus Christ.
He too became a believer and was baptized.
However, the story goes on to tell us how when Peter and John came to the city and laid hands on those who had been baptized in the name of Jesus, they received the Holy Ghost.
Simon after seeing this done, offered them money for this power so that he to might lay hands on people and they would receive the Holy Ghost.
After I read this, my mind questioned.
Had he not understood that the power belongs to Jesus Christ?
Did he have a relapse into his old way of thinking and behaving?
How many times and in how many ways, had I let myself slip back into the person and the behaviors of the past?
I think the words of Peter to Simon, say it all.

V22 Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.

Work together for God

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

A wish to attain the specified condition,
that has an effect or influence on the mind and feelings of a person.
In association with the relationship we have one for another in harmony and accord.
In order to gain love of a degree such as we have never known.
Finally.
Permanently.
Forever.

Alone

I alone could not save myself
I needed help
Not just anyone could help me
The saving of my soul required more
And then there He was.

My soul finds rest in God alone;
my salvation comes from him.
He alone is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.
Psalm 62:1-2

God is

'God is good' 'All the time'

'And all the time' 'God is good'

How many times have we heard this?
How many times have we repeated it?
How many believe it to be true?
Without doubt?
All the time?

I've often wondered where this came from?
Who originated this saying?
I looked it up.
And this is what I found out about the saying and the originator of it.

"Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is good—except God alone."
Luke 18:19

Passing it On

These verses where brought to my attention in the form of two questions,
"Did you know?" and "If you didn’t how could you not?"
Surely someone, your grandmother, your mother, perhaps even your father or grandfather told you about the Lord.
21 Do you not know? Have you not heard? Has it not been told you from the beginning? Have you not understood since the earth was founded?
28 Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.
29 He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.
31 but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Isaiah 40
I’m guessing the real question is, "Did you listen?"
The answer for me would be, "No."
When you are young, you think you know all there is to know.
There are just some things we have to come to realize for ourselves.
Like the points made in these scriptures.
It is to be hoped that we realize these things, before its too late.

Morning Worship

In reading the 5th Psalm this morning, I got to the part where it says,
In the morning, O LORD, You will hear my voice; (v3)
it came to me that I had not thanked the Lord for the new day,
in fact for the pass few days or has it been weeks?
I had not offered up to the Lord, my thanksgiving.
Had not the Lord been blessing me?
Had not the Lord been watching over and protecting me?
Has not the Lord given me reason to rejoice in Him daily?
Was it that I was so sure of the Lord?
Or was I taking Him for granted? Again!
I know, that the Lord knows, what is in my mind and my heart.
But does He not also want to hear my Praise?
Please know Lord. [I say out loud]
But as for me, by Your abundant lovingkindness I will enter Your house,At Your holy temple I will bow in reverence for You. (v7)
Always.

Giving God the Glory, Honor and Praise

I prayed for this child,
and the LORD has granted me what I asked of him. I Samuel 1:27 (NIV)

By my faith in the name of Jesus, I pray for my daughter whom He sees and knows to be made strong. It is in Jesus' name and the faith that comes through and by the Lord that has given her complete healing. Taken from Acts 3:16

For what great nation is there
who has a god so near to them as the Lord our God is to us
in all things for which we call upon Him? Deuteronomy 4:7 (AB)

I Praise the name of my Lord, my God, my Father who art in Heaven.
I Thank you Lord, for answered prayer.
I Thank you Lord, for being an on time God.
I Thank you Lord, for being with my baby girl when I was unable to be there.
I Thank you Lord, that she was able to reach out to her big sister, and she was there to answer the call.
I Thank you Lord, for my father being here to prop me up.
I Thank you Lord, for my oldest baby being the calm in the storm.
I Praise your name Lord. Thank you Lord. Thank you.

To All

For those who stand with me 7 ways; to my left, my right, in front, in back, a head, below, and inside.

May grace (God's unmerited favor) and spiritual peace [which means peace with God and harmony, unity, and undisturbedness] be yours from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 1:2

For those who are against me.

I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised:
so shall I be saved from mine enemies. Psalm 18:3

Praise God.
Thank you Lord for the message.

At War

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. Galatians 5

Pastor spoke on how anger is a lust of the flesh.
I looked up some information, for myself to increase my understanding
Lust; is an uncontrolled inclination of the mind or will.
My thoughts then are the release of this anger, that brings satisfaction.
But only for a few moments.
In the calm after the storm, the Spirit comes and you realize that you could have handled the situation better.
In fact, had you taken a moment you would have heard the Spirit say,
"The anger that you are feeling right now is opposite in the nature and character, direction and position that the Lord would have you be."
Had you heard these words, you could have stopped the words or action.
The flesh is at war with the Spirit.
The battles between the two will be many, but the Spirit must triumph over the flesh for the Word says, "...of which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the Kingdom of God."

Passing it On

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned or scorched, nor will the flame kindle upon you. Isaiah 43:2

The Lord is Talking

Thus saith the LORD, In this thou shalt know that I am the LORD:

"Say to them, ' As I live,' says the LORD, 'just as you have spoken in My hearing, so I will surely do to you;

Now will I arise, says the Lord, because the poor are oppressed, because of the groans of the needy; I will set him in safety and in the salvation for which he pants.

For thus says the LORD: "You were sold for nothing, and you shall be redeemed without money.

Thus saith the LORD; Shall they fall, and not arise? shall he turn away, and not return?

The Lord says, "I will make you wise and show you where to go. I will guide you and watch over you.

The Lord says, "Whoever loves me, I will save. I will protect those who know me.

"As for Me, this is My covenant with them," says the LORD: "My Spirit which is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your offspring, nor from the mouth of your offspring's offspring," says the LORD, "from now and forever."

Stand Still

Motionless
To remain in place, fixed, immobile.
Upright and steady on the feet.
To stop.
Be stationary.
Submit to.
Rise to one's feet.
To maintain an attitude of respect.

Now then,
stand still and see this great thing
the LORD is about to do
before your eyes!

To make no sound
To occupy a place of stillness

shall dwell safely,
and shall be quiet from fear of evil

Angels

Angels are said to be spiritual beings, having human form with wings and usually wearing a white robe. They have even been depicited in paintings and drawings as having halos.
Some believe that angels are virtous (good, righteous) people, who died and when their souls were accepted into heaven they became angels.
Some also believe that we each have a guardian angel the Lord assigned to us at birth or as our protectors because of what it says in
Psalm 34:7 The angel of the Lord encampeth (lives) round about them
that fear Him and delivereth them.
The angels in the Bible generally appear in the role of God's messengers.

Like Gabriel which means, "strong man of God" who is believed to be the angel that shall blow the trumpet blast at the end of time, the Last Judgment. Gabriel can be found in
Luke 1:19 And the angel answering said unto him I am Gabriel
that stand in the presence of God
and am sent to speak unto thee
and to shew thee these glad tidings.
Then theres Michael which means, "one who is like God" believed to be the field commander of God's Army an example of why is found in
Revelation 12:7 And there was war in heaven;
Michael and his angels fought against the dragon (the devil, satan)
and the dragon fought and his angels.
We also have Raphael (not the Ninja Turtle) [that got a chuckle] which means "it is God who heals" this angel is believed to perform all manner of healing. Though not mentioned by name, it is believed he is the angel in
John 5:5 For an angel went down at a certain season
into the pool and troubled the water
whosoever then first after the troubling of the water
stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.
Another angel Uriel which means, "light of God" is believed to stand at the Gates of Eden. He is not mentioned by name either in
Genesis 3:24 So he drove out the man;
and he placed at the east of the garden of eden
Cherubims and a flaming sword
which turned every way to keep the way of the tree of life.
But if you believe or not in Angels. Remeber God's word in
Hebrew 13:2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers
for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

the Calling God has given You

Heard a Minister speak today on examining the calling God has given You.
She pointed out that God does not call everyone to Preach.
Some He has called to Teach, to Give.
Some have been called to do Big things.
Some small things.
Whatever the calling God has placed on you.
Accept it.
Rejoice in it.
Be grateful for it.
This calling you have may not seem like much, but it is not for you to judge.
It is for you to do, for the Glory of God.
She gave an example of a Lady, who felt insulted a first that the Lord had called her to do the bathroom at her church.
But, she fulfilled it.
The women at her church were blessed because of it.
The bathroom that she decorated, is a haven.
A place for the soul to rest.
A place for the spirit to find peace.
In closing she advised us, to Ask God to Direct Our Steps and if there is Anything Else We can do to Serve God.
Do it.

On the Road

Going about my business,

Living life how I saw fit.
It wasn't much of a life, but
I was having a good time.
Or so I had convinced myself.
I had a job.
I had a car.
I had a roof over my head.
I had clothes on my back.
I had food to eat.
But spent most of my time broke.
Financially,
Physically,
Mentally.
Then one day
when I was on the road to nowhere.
I met the man from Galilee.

I did it again

I missed posting a message yesterday. I intended to do it before midnight, after I finished my homework. I realize I could have done it early yesterday morning when I finished my reading assignments, but I was sleepy and just wanted to go lay down, get a little rest before going into work.

Makes me think how I would feel if the Lord decided He was too tired to answer my call.

Lord, no excuses. I acknowledge I broke a pledge made to you. The opportunity was there I didn't take it. My mind was on me and what I needed/wanted. Not on what I had promised You. I ask your to pardon my sin and forgive my transgression.

Because of my actions, someone may have missed a message that the Lord had for them yesterday. It is my prayer that the Lord sent someone else to you with that message, that you received your blessing though I missed mine. I apologize to you. I ask for forgiveness and know I have to forgive myself as well.

My Understanding of

Psalm 89:30-34

If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments;
If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments;
Then will I visit their transgressions, with the rod, and their inquity with stripes.
Nevertheless my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail.

Susposing that we abandon His law, and refuse in His judgments;
Whenever we ignore His established laws, and keep not His commandments;
At that time will He curse us for our violation of the law, accompanied by a measure of discipline, and by our sin will we be marked.
In spite of that His affection for and love of us will He not completely remove, nor allow His faithfulness to be less.

The Video

As it says in Psalm 32:5 I acknowledge my sin and confess my transgression.

Recently I was sent a video entitled "Never let a Crackhead sing at your Funeral".
Unfortunately I, like the others who had viewed it before me laughed at the spectacle that the young man made of himself trying to sing 'Amazing Grace'. I was ashamed and embarrassed for him.
The Lord corrected me.
I did not know this young man, what he had been through, where he had come from. I did not know if this was even a funeral (you couldn't tell this looking at the video). I don't know the person who first put this clip out there for others to see or why.
Who was I to laugh? Does it not say in the Word '...in the congregation I will praise the Lord'. Was this not what this young man was doing?
Why was I ashamed and embarrassed for him for knowing only one verse and how he sang? Does not my Word say, 'Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise' and 'I will pay my vows unto the Lord now in the presence of all his people.'
So what, that he did not know the whole song. He knew the part that meant the most to him. 'Amazing Grace how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me, I once was lost but now am found'.
Could I claim to know the words to ever song I sang when I offered up Praise. No.
If this young man was a crackhead did he not earn the right to sing 'God's praise'.

I Thank the Lord for His correction. I ask for His forgiveness. My hope is in the Lord, for with the Lord there is mercy.
'For His anger endureth but a moment, in His favor is life...' Psalm 30:5

My Understanding of

Deuteronomy 28:1

If thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the Earth.

On condition that we give attention to what the Lord our God says, persistently obeying, complying with and conforming to all His commands as we have been instructed to, the Lord our God will before all nations present us as the model, place us before them as the standard.

Its Time To Say So

Oh Lord my God all that I have and am is because of you.
I willingly offer myself heart, mind, body and soul into your hands with great joy and much gladness.
Give me Lord, a perfect heart so that I may keep thy commandments, observe thy statutes, increase in the knowledge and understanding of your Word, grow in wisdom and be able to testify to your goodness without hesitation.
I bless your name my Lord, my God.
I worship you, magnify you, giving you all the glory, the honor and the praise.
You Lord are my hope.

Be forgiven my iniquities and purged of my sins.
Show my love of and faith in the Lord in my ways.
Praise His name.
Testify to the goodness of the Lord.
Hear Him with my ears and receive Him in my heart.

Be Strong

Fear thou not; for I am with thee:
be not dismayed; for I am thy God:
I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee;
yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Isaiah 41:10
So I arise and speak of my belief in the Living God, my intentions to follow the Lord's commandments and statues and I let it be known that I have made a covenant with Him.
I do not think about what others may say regarding my new walk.
I stand strong on His Word, I am a child of God.

My Prayer: That you be strong, know that the Lord God is your defence against your enemies (for they will come). For thus saith the Lord 'I am with thee, to deliver thee. I have broken thy yoke and I will not forsake thee.'

If the Lord Delights in Us

If we choose the Lord, to be our rock, our fortress, our deliverer, our shield, our sword, our salvation, our refuge, our strength.
If we decide to put all our trust in Him.
If we receive, believe, obey, study and sanctify ourselves in the truth of the Word.
If we separate from the world, release self, surrender to the Lord and let the Holy Spirit lead us.
If we in the fullness of time become rich in faith
Blessed will we be.
for When we need Him, He will come.
and When we call out His name, He will hear our voice.
then When we send up our cry, our prayer, our petition, our plea, He will answer every time.

REMEMBER: As soon as and at which time we meet the conditions, the requirements, the stipulations. That uncertain possibility If becomes a When.

Troublemaker

Starts murmurs of discontent.
Accuses one of whispering about another behind their back.
Causes division amongst us.
Spreads falsehoods.
Attempts to justify wrongdoing.
Judgemental.
Misuses and misrepresents God given gifts.
Heres something you should know;
You are an abomination unto the Lord.
By your words and deeds you have provoked the Lord.
Therefore the Lord will deliver you from among us.
We shall hold our peace, saying not a word to or against you.
We will however be in prayer for you.
For thus saith the Lord 'Be not afraid of the words that thou hast heard.....'

Tears

My hope is in God, though troubles and trials have come my way.
Yet will I praise Him.
For He is my help, my strength, my rock.
'Misery loves company', it has been said but for me the Lord shall be my companion.
As I cry my tears become my prayer, my praise, my worship.
My faith in God is unshaken.
Through the night until the break of day though I mourn that which is loss.
I know My Lord, My God, My Savior is with me.

Why do We wear White?

It is said that white is not even a color, it is without hue and only reflects light.
But we wear it on First Sunday, Fifth Sunday and Women's Day.
We Mothers, Sisters, Daughters, Friends.
Why?
We the Women of God, wear white to show ourselves reformed of mind, acknowledging that the blocks have been cleared from our path.
We are whole and complete, loyal to our Lord, open to His counsel, truthful in our worship, dependable, honorable.
The wearing of white symbolizes our new beginning, our innocence, our purity.
How perfect is our triumphant of Spirit over flesh.

Colossians 2:5
For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the Spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ.

The Rainbow

According to the dictionary; its a bow of prismatic (brilliant) colors appearing in the heavens opposite the sun.
According to the Law of Physics; its caused by the refraction (change of direction) and reflection (return of) of the sun's rays in drops of rain.
There are even Legends regarding rainbows; its the tongue of the sun, the bridge between the living and the dead, if you pass beneath a rainbow you will be transformed woman into man and man into woman, the most popular being a leprechauns pot of gold can be found at the end of one.
Even a proverb (not biblical) "Rainbow at night shepherds delight. Rainbow in morning shepherds take warning."
But the best explanation for rainbows is found in the Book of Genesis. That it is a token of the covenant which the Lord made for perpetual (continuing or enduring forever) generations.

Welcome to My House

And all that believed were together and had all things common Acts 2:44

There was a gleam in the eyes.
Extra warmth in the smiles.
Your comfort level with each other was amazing.
Image if it was your first time, coming to church and you felt that.
Wouldn't you want to return to feel that way again?
This is how visitors want to feel, this is how that should be made to feel.

God given Tasks

When the Lord gives us a task, something He would have us do for Him.
Are we to be in a hurry to get it done?
In a rush to do it?
Aren't there some things He would have us do that we first must be prepared for by Him.
My example whe He first gave me "Make a place for Women to come to", my thoughts turned to a physical structure. If I had been able to find one, get fianancing and fix it up. When then? How was I going to ge the women to come? Because I knew I was not able to obtain a building, I closed my mind to it. I had heard the word of the Lord, but did not listen for further instruction. I mind graped onto 'to come to' and took off on its own. I could hear nothing else but myself. It was not until some years later that the Lord was able to get through to me, when He showed me that the internet "is a place to go to". Thats when I got it, 'go to' as in 'come to'. However, I still was not able to move forward on it for a few more years. Now, I think back and realize that the Lord gave it to me but was not ready for me to go forward at that time. He needed to prepare me for the task that He had set before me. I know now, that if I had gone ahead and rushed right into it, I would have messed it up big time because, I was not as obedient to His will then nor was I at peace.

My prayer: Once you hear from the Lord, stop thinking, listen for further instruction, patiently prepare and most importantly wait for Him to say GO.

Lets talk about Sharing the Gospel

With Others and Each Other
This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent (having or showing great enthusiasm) in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently (constant in effort to accomplish something) the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John.
And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them and expounded (state in detail, to explain) unto him the way of God more perfectly. Acts 8:25-26

With Ourselves
For whatsoever things were written aforetime (in a former time, previously) were written for our learning that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. Romans 15:4

Repeated prayer

Heard a Pastor say Sunday, that there are some places (churches) that you can go to for years and hear the same prayer being said.
Forgive me Lord for what I am about to say, it is not meant as a criticism of the Pastor or what was said.
It is my opinion.
If the prayer you hear, is a prayer you've heard before, a prayer you hear every time you hear this or a certain person prayer.
Don't assume it's because they are praying for something that the Lord will not give them and they should realize it by now.
Stop to think that this prayer is meant from the heart.
This prayer is how they open up communication with God.
Their way of knocking on the door.
Their way of saying, "It's me Lord can you hear me?"
That being said, let me repeat my daily prayer.
"Thank you Lord for a new day, and another chance. Walk with me today Lord, guide my footsteps on the path that you would have me go, help me to hold my tongue, my peace and stop the negative thoughts that may cross my mind. I ask this as all things in your Son Jesus name. Amen."

Lets talk about Love

Ours for God
Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee. Psalm 63:3

God's for Us
For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee. Isaiah 54:10

For each other
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. I John 4:7

As God commands
This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. John 15:12

The Relationship

Relationship of a particular type is between two, forming a connection, an association, a dependence, an alliance and involving emotions.
You and the Lord have formed a connection.
You are now associated one with another.
The alliance you have formed is based on His teachings and your trusting in His word.
You have come to understand that your emotions depend on the Lord looking on you with favor.
You have established an involvement in hearing, receiving, loving and obeying His judgments, discernment's, knowledge and commandments.
This is a particular type of relationship between just the two of you, it can not be duplicated by you or Him with any other, according to His promise.

I'm thanking and praising God for saving me from myself.
I'm thanking and praising God for His goodness, His love, His power, His strength.
I'm thanking and praising God that He thought enough of me, to make sure I knew Him and that I became one of His.
Thank you Lord Thank You

The Lord is Good

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
Truer words have never been written or spoken aloud.
This is my favorite scripture in the Bible.
For I know this is the one thing I can always count on.
No matter what else is going on in my life.
The Lord will make sure all my wants are met.
This is not the things I want, but the things I need.
Like food, clothing etc.
As I look back over my life thus far, out of all the things that I said or thought that I wanted,
the Lord has supplied those that I needed.
Ain't God Good (AGG)

Something you need to know about the Lord

A not to be forgotten message
Psalm 136

Offering

In my hands I have a tray on which I have placed.
A few sins.
Some old addictions.
Plenty of temptations.
Unnecessary thoughts and actions.
Along with these items I've also placed free will offerings.
My life.
My worship.
My praise.
My thanks.
I'm handing this tray over.
As I do, there is no fear that it will be rejected.
As I do, there is no worry that it will tilt either to the left or right.
As I do, there is no hesitation.
Cause I'm handing this tray over to the Lord.

Offer Praise for Prayer

You prayed because you believed the Lord would hear your prayers.
You trusted and had faith that He would answer.
Indeed your prayer was heard received and answered.
What now?
Where is the Praise?
Did you just go on with your day?
Did you stop for a minute? a second?
Did you even say Thank you?
Throw a hand up?
Say even an 'Only you Lord'?
That jump for joy, was it cause you got your way? what you wanted? or was it in Praise?

In the mornin' when I rise

Each morning that you awaken.
Know, that the Lord has given you the gift of life.
Rejoice in it.
Praise and Thank Him for it.
Do not waste it.
Do not think about what tomorrow may bring.
For it is not promised that tomorrow, nor is seeing the end of this day.

Communication

The Lord communicates with us daily, if we would only listen and hear.
He speaks to our hearts, minds and souls.
We experience fear, discouragement and worry when we do not.
Hearts, minds and souls that are in communication with the Lord can
Be Strong
Be Courageous
Be Not Afraid
Be Not Dismayed
Be Not Worried
For they are in contact, connected with the One who is greater.

My Prayer: Be Blessed

Practice what You Preach

But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost II Corinthians 4:3

If you're talking about the Gospel you should be living by the Gospel.
Cause if you're telling somebody about how their sin is separating them from Jesus.
You need to be free from sin yourself.
Like the saying goes, "If you're gonna talk the talk, you need to walk the walk."

And show your own self in all respects to be a pattern and a model of good deeds and works teaching what is unadulterated showing gravity with dignity and seriousness. Titus 2:7 (AV)

You can lead others to Christ by example.
If they can look at your life, and see how living by the Gospel of Jesus Christ has changed your life, then they may start thinking I should (could) give this (Him) a try (trial). It can't hurt and its gotta be better than the way (how) I'm living now.
For unbelievers need to see, to believe.
Just like you did.
It was only after you came to trust in Jesus, that you learned to 'walk by faith and not by sight', so to must they learn.

Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man prefect in Christ Jesus. Colossians 1:28

Repentance

The Lord is 'not willing that any should perish', this is why He calls us all to repent of our sins.
For the day approaches when He shall 'come as a thief in the night'.
Will you be ready?
Will you have a place in the 'new heaven' and 'new earth'?
Where the righteous shall dwell.
If you're saying you are ready and look for you to be there.
Then you acknowledge, that you understand what needs to be done by you on your own behalf 'be diligent that you may be found of Him in peace, without spot and blameless'.

Disciples

You are strong, strengthened in Grace and the Spiritual Blessings that are found in Christ.
You have heard the instructions.
You are a witness.
You have been entrusted, because you have proven yourself to be reliable and faithful.
You have pleased He who has enlisted you.
Understand you have had and will continue to have your share of hardships and suffering as an enduring soldier of Christ.
Understand that your hardwork has made you a partaker of the Fruit of the Spirit, for the Lord knows those who are His.

The 3 T's - Trouble

"Trouble in my way, I have to cry sometimes", words in a song that goes on the say, "May be God is tryin' to tell me something".
Maybe?
Definitely!
He has offered you the knowledge.
You know He is our refuge, our salvation.
That you need only call on Him in times of trouble.
That there is no fear greater than He.
Numerous troubles?
Feeling attacked from every angle?
Unable to see a clear path?
The more you try the worst it gets?
Call on the name of the Lord.
It pleases Him to help those who trust in Him, who humble themselves before Him, who delight in doing His will, who love His laws and follow them, who praise Him, who are faithful, who declare their salvation by Him and deliverance through Him, who testify to His loving kindness and mercy.
For you who know the truth of His Word, it is no trouble for Him to be troubled.
Amen?

The 3 T's - Tribulation

Because we have not listened to the Lord's counsel.
Have chosen not to obey His words.
Have walked a path of our own making.
Believing that we would still recieve the Lord's forgiveness, blessings, mercy and grace.
There is no one to interced on our behalf our relationship with the Lord is one on one.
When the Lord turns away from us, there is no one who would have pity on us.
Who will make sure we are alright with the Lord.
Like Moses did for the children of Israel.
Our tribulations are of are own making.
We have caused the Lord to stretch out His hand against us.
We had not realized, that the Lord was growing weary of our dead ears, arrogance and backsliding.
Then repenting and expecting His forgiveness as our due, because we are Christians.
When your time of tribulation ends.
Ask yourself, will this be the last time I will be forgiven my sins against God?
Will this be the last time I can return to that safe place?
Will this be the last time the Lord will see me as worthy?
Is this the last time He will fight my enemies for me?
Is this the last time I can be assured of God's faithfulness?
Offer redemption?

The 3 T's - Trials

Jesus went through trials, rejection, testing and disapproval.
And did He not say, "Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me."
Now having decided to follow Jesus, should we then not expect to have trials of our own?
Should we not have been prepared, for rejection of family and friends for the way of life we have chosen?
Did we not understand that our faith would be tested?
Were we not aware that as long as we continue to walk this path we would be met by disapproval?
If we did know these things.
Then ....

Confession

Confession is good for the soul.
So the saying goes, so here goes mine.
My attitude has been negative.
I'm including my thoughts, the way I speak and the things I say.
Since I profess myself to be a Christian, this can not continue.
I have changed the way I walk, the way I dress.
It is past time to change my attitude.
I want to present myself pleasing before God.
In order to do that I need to become a totally new person.
Toward that end I now disclose all, in oral and written statement.
I acknowledge my sin and make full admission of my transgression against God.
I humbly ask the Lord for forgiveness.
I vow to change my negative ways, to keep my lips sealed, my thoughts clean and clear.
For I know if I foresake the way of the Lord, He will foresake me.
I know that as long as I seek to change my ways He will help me find my life.
For I know the Lord will be with me as long as I believe, trust, have faith in Him.
I claim it, as if it is so.
I praise and thank God for His forgiveness.
I accept the change in my life and give to God all the glory.
I ask that He continue to be the guiding force in my life, that He continue to bring to my attention those things that He would have me know, that He continue to increase in me so that I may be better than I was and I ask this as all things in Jesus name. Amen.

Confession also brings Peace.

Circumstances bring Reward

Circumstances are influencing factors that surround and affect, with no respect to time or place or regardless of the events going on in our lives.
We are tested and proved by God through circumstances that He allows.
Will we pass?
If we believe, trust, rely on Him and remain steadfast in our faith.
God will provide if only we hold ourselves true to the covenant we have made with Him.
The Lord is our shield against circumstances.
If we do so the blesses the He gives to us will be multiplied.

My Prayer: Acknowledge the Lord's teaching and counsel. Be not stubborn or lacking in understanding. Follow willing, trust, rely, lean on the Lord. He will show you compassion with mercy, understanding and loving kindness. Rejoice. Shout.

What does it all mean Fruit of the Spirit

To those who call upon the Lord.
Following the will of God.
Working to transform, to renew, have a change of heart, accept the offer of salvation.
Take the fruit of the spirit and develop it.
Acknowledge the truth, the Lord Jesus lives.
He is our savior, deliverer, strength, comforter, hope, assurance and redeemer.
He is merciful, faithful, patient and understanding, forgiving of sins, gives wise counsel, and is all powerful.
Give all the Glory, Praise, Worship and Thanks to the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit for we are complete in, through and because of them.

footnote: Ever since the Lord brought this to my attention, Fruit of the Spirit has been mention by every speaker I've heard. Confirmation. Praise God.

Remember how we sought the the right place to worship.
Remember Lord that we called on you, our strength.
Remember that we clothed ourselves in righteousness and rejoiced in your salvation.

Have Not Doubt But Hope

You say you want to change, to stop living by of and for the flesh always struggling, in misery, frustrated, weary and worn out, confused, defeated having no joy or peace.

You have heard about the Lord, His covenant and promise. But can He really do all that they say He can do? Can obeying God's laws bring about fulfillment? Can accepting Him as your Lord and Savior really change things?

To bring about the change you seek, to be free, to be covered by Grace, to be an heir with Jesus Christ and receive the fulfillment of His promise.
Have no doubt that you can Trust God.
Live in faith that in God all things are possible.
Rejoice in the power of God.
Praise, Honor and Glorify Him.

The Invitation

In the Kingdom of Heaven, there's a celebration.
The Lord has sent His angels out and about with invitations to the righteous and the sanctified.
Some have refused to come.
Again, He sent His angels to those who had refused saying,
"I have prepared a place for you, Come."
But they ignored the angels and treated with contempt this second invitation, turning their backs and walking away.
The Lord decided they were not worthy.
So, He sent forth His angels out again.
This time they were to invite those who know Him not, and those that had heard of Him, but knew not how or where to find Him.
Many more of these that were invited accepted than not.

My Prayer: That when the invitation is and or was extended that you will and or have receive(d) and accept(ed).

Surrender

The only thing preventing the Lord from saving you.
Is you.
Surrender.
Let the Lord come into your life.
Let Him comfort and support you.
Let Him shower you with His lovingkindness.
Let Him silence the voices of your enemies.
The Lord will not find you to be obnoxious or disgusting, for He looks upon you in spirit not in flesh.
Surrender to the Lord your heart, your mind, your body and your soul.
In other words your life.
Say to the Lord, I am yours and all that I have.

"Today I Rise the Victor"

Giving God the Glory Honor and Praise.
Victory,
over the spirit of fear.
Victory,
cause I'm Holding My Position in the Lord.
Victory,
over the hold drugs had on my life.
Victory,
cause He gave me just what I needed
and more than I wanted.
Victory,
over trouble,
He stopped it in its tracks.
Victory,
He helped me overcome depression
without having to use/go on medication.
Victory,
over sickness that was attacking
my mind, body and spirit.
Victory,
my plea was heard and answered,
He saved my child's life.
Victory,
He answered my prayer,
kept me in my right mind after death of my son.
Victory,
over a crisis situation in my life.
Victory,
over a cloud of sadness hanging over my head.
I could find no good thing, no reason to smile or laugh.
Now I smile at everybody and can laugh at things
I thought were silly, stupid and didn't make no sense before.
Victory,
when I needed prayer and hesitated to call for prayer,
because I didn't want to have to explain why I needed prayer,
the people He directed me to call
didn't ask me any questions they just started praying for me.

Praise God,
for releasing those things
that held us back and kept us down.
Today,
Thanks to you Lord
We Rise the Victor.

Sit in Judgement of Yourself

The Lord sustains us. We lack for nothing. Not clothes to wear, shoes on our feet, a roof over our heads, cars to drive, jobs to go to. God has allowed us much. We possess the land as He has promised. He has multplied our nation from generation to generation. He has subdued our enemies and prepared us a table before them. We have accepted these gifts and delighted ourselfve in God's great goodness.
Yet, we have been disobedient and rebellious, some things we have done we think behind His back. When accused and warned to repent and seek forgiveness we committed a greater sin. Lying. We therefore left God no choice but to deliver us into the hands of our enemy. Who will delight in distressing us. In this time of suffering we call out to the Lord, for we know He will hear us. In accordance with His promise, He grants us mercy, delivers us, saves us from our enemy. Only after we have delighted ourselves in His grace, we do the same thing again. This has been going on not only in our lifetime, but also in our mother's and father's and their mother's and father's.
We do not listen to the Lord's counsel. We do not heed the commandments. We sin against His ordinances by which we should live.
Yet, still our God has not forsaken us.
He is still a God of great mercies, gracious, keeper of His covenant, loving, kind, just, faithful.

My Prayer: That you recognize I speak not of just you, but more so of myself. That like me you be willing to admit, repent and receive God's forgiveness.

Yesterday

The song by Mary Mary
If I where a movie it would be my theme song.
But I'm just me, human and not prefect. So this song has become my post-it note, my don't forget, heres a hint, looking for an answer thats right in front of you song.
It helps me to remember when I'm stressing over a situation, that I decided (using that free will that God granted me) yesterday (even though that yesterday has been 9 years now) that I would put my trust in God. That I would stop trying to fix-it myself (cause baby let me tell you it weren't workin').
It reminds that there is nothing that God can not do, no where that He can not go, nobody that He can not touch. For He is greater than any one thing or anyone.
So when those times come, when the spirit of fear is upon me and my mind shuts out everything else but that fear. When I start feeling like I'm alone and what can I do. Nothing. Softly, gently a line from this song gets through to me (Praise God!) There ain't nothing to hard for My God, any problem that I have He's greater them all.

Pray for guidance, inquiry of the Lord.
What knowledge shall I pass on to this generation that you have entrusted me with?
That in turn this generation can give to the next generation.

Favor

Fear the Lord.
Love the Lord.
Praise the Lord at all times.
Obey the Lord and His Word.
Hear and accept His counsel and judgements.
Speak and live in Truth.
Inflict no wounds with lips or tongue.
Seek knowledge and understanding.
Ask it of Him and then wait on the Lord.
Thank the Lord for all things.
And you shall walk in favor.

To be Wise in the Word is to

Be Skillful and Godly.
Be Understanding
Rejoice.
Stand tall, beside the way, at the entrance, coming in the door, where ever our paths meet.
Not be simple, thoughtless or foolish.
But of an understanding heart.
Speak the Truth, of the rightness of God and the excellence of the Word.
Know righteousness, not contrariness.
Speak plainly so as to be understood.
Have an open heart.
Live by the Word.
Know that the truth of wisdom is better then precious jewels and all things desired by the flesh can not be compared to it.

My Prayer: In the Word of God, you find sound knowledge, understanding, counsel, reverence, fear, awe and power.
